In Grand Theft Auto IV there are a total of 6 different side missions to complete all around Liberty City for 100% Completion: 10 Random Characters, 30 Most Wanted Criminals, 20 Vigilante Missions, 10 of Jacob's Drug Delivery Missions, 10 Exotic Export Vehicles, 9 of Brucie's Races, 9 of The Fixer's Assassination Missions and 30 Vehicles for Stevie's Car Thefts.

RANDOM CHARACTERS / FRIENDS

In GTA IV, you can meet 14 different friends all around Liberty City. For 100% Completion you have to meet 10 different friends and complete all related encounters for each, respectively. You can meet the same friends at different places around Liberty City for more encounters. In GTA IV, you can access Most Wanted missions from a Police Computer after Story Mission "Crime and Punishment". You can find a police computer inside any cop car, which you can find all around Liberty City. The Most Wanted missions require you to find and kill different high profile criminals around Liberty City. VIGILANTE

In GTA IV, you can access Vigilante missions from a Police Computer via "Current Crimes". You can find a police computer inside any cop car, which you can find all around Liberty City. The Vigilante missions are similar to the old Vigilante Missions from previous GTA Games, which require you to find and kill different criminals around Liberty City. The Current Crimes Database divides crimes available into different types: Gang Activity, Stolen Vehicle and Suspect on foot. For 100% Completion, you have to kill or capture 20 criminals in total through the police computer.

JACOB'S DRUG DELIVERY

In GTA IV, you can access different drug delivery jobs from Little Jacob after Story Mission "Shadow". To access these missions you can call Jacob on your phone during the daytime after 10 AM and selecting the "Job" option when doing so. For 100% Completion, you have to complete all 10 deliveries. These missions are divided into three types, with each mission having its own destination to drive to.

In GTA IV, you can find different exotic export vehicles to steal and deliver to Brucie's Garage in BOABO after the Story Mission "Logging On". To start these missions, visit any Internet Cafe or get access to any computer and respond positively to Brucie's e-mails asking for a vehicle to be stolen. For 100% Completion you have to find and deliver all 10 Exotic Export Vehicles. The missions and the vehicles are always the same, but their combination may vary.

In GTA IV, you can access different street races from Brucie after Story Mission "No. 1". To access these missions you can call Brucie on your phone and selecting the "Race" option when doing so. In GTA IV, taking from previous versions in old GTA games, you can access different 9 different assassination missions from The Fixer, a contact you unlock after completing Story Mission "Truck Hustle". STEVIE'S CAR THEFTS

In GTA IV, you can find different vehicles to steal and deliver for Brucie's friend, Stevie, after you unlock the safehouse in Alderney and unlocking the Exotic Export Vehicles as well. To start these car thefts for Stevie, all you have to do is wait for a message to your phone from Stevie showing a vehicle and giving you direction in order to find it. Be careful when delivering vehicles as the more the car is damaged, the less money you'll receive. For 100% Completion, you have to reach & steal 30 different vehicles and deliver them to his Garage in South Bohan, right behind your safehouse. GANG WARS

In GTA: TLAD, you can participate in Gang Wars around Liberty City after Story Mission "Coming Down", after the phone call from Jim. To start a gang war all you have to do is get on a bike and go to the checkpoint in Liberty City. The mission itself is endless, but for 100% completion you have to complete at least 25 Gang Wars. By completing a Gang War, you'll earn $1000 plus $250 for each gang war won previously. You will also get weapons pickups at the safehouses after completing 50 gang wars. Gang Wars are divided into three different types.

In GTA IV, you can start different bike races after Story Mission "Liberty City Choppers". You unlock each race one by one after completing the race available on the map. In GTA: TLAD, you can find different bikes to steal and deliver for Angus after the Story Mission "Liberty City Choppers". To start these car thefts for Angus, all you have to do is call Angus on your phone using the "Job" Option. Be careful when delivering vehicles as the more the car is damaged, the less money you'll receive. The Bikes are randomized for each mission, but there is always 10 different missions where you have to steal a bike and deliver it to the garage near the clubhouse. For 100% Completion, you have to reach & steal 10 different vehicles and deliver them to the garage near The Lost Clubhouse.

In Grand Theft Auto: The Ballad of Gay Tony, there are a total of 6 different side missions to complete all around Liberty City for 100% Completion: 3 Random Characters, 8 Club Management Missions, 15 BASE Jumps, 25 Drug War Missions, 3 Triathlon Races, and L.C. Cage Fights.

RANDOM CHARACTERS / FRIENDS

In GTA: TBOGT, you can meet 3 different friends all around Liberty City. For 100% Completion you have to meet all friends and complete all related encounters for each, respectively. You can meet the same friends at different places around Liberty City for more encounters.

CLUB MANAGEMENT

In GTA: TBOGT, you can start club management missions at Maisonette 9 from 9 PM to 6 AM by going inside the Club Management office. After starting the side mission, Luis will receive calls from Dessie that start different missions for VIPs involving escape from paparazzi, take special meals, escorting and more. For 100% Completion you have to complete all 8 Missions.

DRUG WARS

In GTA: TBOGT, you can participate in Drug Wars around Liberty City after Story Mission "Coroner Kids", after the phone call from Armando. To start a drug war all you have to do is get to the checkpoint in Liberty City. Each Drug War involves collecting a drug bag / vehicle to take to a drop off point. The mission itself is endless, but for 100% completion you have to complete at least 25 Drug Wars. By completing a Drug War, you'll earn money and you will also get weapons pickups at the safehouses after completing 50 drug wars. Drug Wars are divided into 4 different types.

TRIATHLON RACES

In GTA: TBOGT, you can participate in Triathlons around Liberty City after Story Mission "This Ain't Checkers". To start a triathlon all you have to do is get to the checkpoint in Liberty City. Each Triathlon involves three different races with different vehicles. Triathlons can be repeated endlessly, but for 100% completion you have to complete each at least once.

Friend Activities

In GTA IV, Niko can socialize with 5 different side characters of the game. Each character will call you first after completing a specific Story Mission asking you to hang out or give them a lift, unlocking the ability to socialize with them. To socialize with a friend and engage in activities with them, you can call them on your cell phone asking for a specific activity. They will also call you from time to time asking for a specific activity as well. Hanging out with a friend increases their like percentage towards you. The higher the percentage, the longer the friendship you will have with them. You can unlock a special ability for Roman, Little Jacob, Brucie and Packie when their like percentage is high enough. You can bring everyone up to or above 90% for a trophy! For 100% Completion, you have to do 6 friend activities with Little Jacob, 7 with Brucie, and 6 with Packie and unlock all of their abilities as well. Additionally for 100% Completion, you also have to win a game of Pool, Darts, and a full game of bowling, which you can easily do during friend activities as well. Having a friendship with Roman and Dwayne doesn't count towards 100% Completion.

Similar to GTA 3, you do not get much as a reward for 100% completing GTA 4, GTA The Lost and Damned DLC and GTA The Ballad of Gay Tony DLC. Across all three games, you only get one reward each. You also only get the trophy for 100% completing GTA 4 as well.

100% Rewards (GTA 4, GTA: TLAD, GTA: TBOGT)

  • Removal of the Ammo Capacity Limit so you'll have more than 1200 bullets for your weapons. Unfortunately after saving then loading the game, all excess bullets over the normal limit will be removed and the weapon will have default maximum bullets.

The following achievements and trophies can be achieved during one or multiple playthroughs of the game. These are discussed in a separate section as these are may or may not naturally happen during first playthrough of the game. Do note that trophies for Multiplayer will not be covered as this guide is more single player story mode focused, but the multiplayer trophies are easy to understand as well as they are pretty self explanatory. Do note that using cheats blocks some of these trophies and achievements from being unlocked.

One Hundred And Eighty

You scored 180 with 3 darts.

To get this trophy, reach any pub where you can play darts with either a friend or a NPC. To reach 180 points with three darts you have to aim at the small middle red segment under the section that gives you 20 points. To make a perfect shot move on the segment with the default aim and when the crosshair is above the area steady your shot and time the shot well. Repeat the same shot in order to obtain 60 points three times in a row.

Pool Shark

You beat a friend at pool.

To get this trophy easily, take a girl on a date to the Homebrew Cafe to play pool as they aren't very skilled. Take Michelle as she doesn't play very well so most of the time you'll win even because she pockets the eight ball before the others.

Finish Him

You completed 10 melee counters in 4 minutes.

To get this trophy easily, you have to find an area full of people who will be happy to fight it out with you. A good place to visit is the Higgins Helitour pier in Fishmarket South, Algonquin. Once a fight has begun, dodge enemy attacks and immediately attack after to counter attack your opponent. Keep performing counter attacks until you get the achievement.

Wheelie Rider

You completed a 500 foot wheelie on a motorbike.

To get this trophy, all you need is a bike and a straight street. To perform a wheelie, lean backwards by pulling down the left analogue stick or pressing CTRL on PC. If you have a problem, do it using a Faggio because it's easier to control during a wheelie.

Gobble Gobble

You got a turkey in 10-pin bowling.

To get this trophy, you have to score 3 strikes in a row (a turkey) in a bowling game. Reach any bowling alley and take the left lane to play a bowling game - you can do this alone or with friends. The trick is to pick up the ball, take two full steps to the left, lock the position, pull back for a single second then roll the shot without touching the ball direction after (don't move anything after launching the ball). This way the ball will roll straight and you'll have a strike. Do this three times in a row and you will get the achievement.

Rolled Over

You managed 5 car rolls in a row from one crash.

This trophy can come naturally as you play the game. To get this trophy, you don't have to roll your car five times in a single jump, you can do a single row five times consecutively. The trick is to keep the accelerator at full gas without releasing it.

Walk Free

You successfully lost a 4 star wanted rating.

This trophy can come naturally as you play the game. All you have to do is get a four star wanted level by killing cops and such, and then make them lose sight of you outside the police zone.

Chain Reaction

You exploded 10 vehicles in 10 seconds.

This trophy can come naturally as you play the game. All you have to do is find a row or group of vehicles (if you cannot find one, make one), and use any explosive weapon you have to explode them all.

One Man Army

You survived a 6 star wanted level for a full 5 minutes.

This trophy can come naturally as you play the game. To get this easily however, start a new game, complete the first mission then reach the Broker Bridge sidewalk entrance. Once you have reached the area go to the right and follow the sidewalk in order to reach the train tracks. Follow the train tracks to Algonquin until the tracks enter a tunnel. Continue walking untl you reach the big area with all the railroad switches. Stop there and wait until the achievement is unlocked.

It'll Cost Ya

You made a taxi trip from one island to another without skipping.

This trophy is as simple as it can be. Hail a Taxi, get in, choose a destination on a different island, and enjoy the scenery.

Sightseer

You have taken all variations of the helicopter tours of Liberty City.

To get this trophy, visit the Heli tours in South East Algonquin. There are a total of 5 tours to take. There are usually 3 helicopters available to take a tour in. If you come back at a different time, the other 2 should be there. You can also just wait at the helipad until another chopper comes back from its tour. Take a tour on each of the 5 choppers to get the trophy.

Warm Coffee

You were invited into your girlfriend's house.

To get this trophy, you have to date a girl enough and ask a girl to be invited into their home at the end of a date when she likes you enough. You can do this early on with Michelle as she is easy to date. Keep going on dates with her then eventually, when she likes you enough, ask to be invited in her home at the end of a date and she will let you in to bang her brains out.

Half Million

You have amassed a fortune of $500,000.

This trophy will come naturally as you complete the Main Storyline of the game. Save your money, only buy when you need to, and eventually you will earn a lot of money with the more missions you do.

Full Exploration

You unlocked all the islands.

This trophy will come naturally as you complete the Main Storyline of the game. Completing "Three Leaf Clover" should be easy enough.

Under The Radar

You flew under all the main bridges in the game.

To get this trophy, you have fly underneath the main bridges in the game that cross water with a helicopter. You can see here a map of all the main bridges.

Liberty City Minute

You finished the story in less than 30 hours.

You can complete one playthrough of the game in less than 30 hours if you focus on all of the Story Missions consecutively, skip all the cutscenes (although not required, but easier to do so you can focus on playing), and not get distracted by any side missions, friend activities, or miscellaneous tasks. By doing this, you should be able to finish the game around 15 hours.

TLAD: Get Good Wood

You maimed 69 bikers while racing.

To get this trophy, you have to knock 69 bikers off their bikes during a Race. If you are focused on winning a race, just knock off bikers as you drive past them and you can easily look at 10-20 times during a single race. If you are not focused on winning however, you can just find a single biker and knock him off his boke 69 times in a single race.

TLAD: Full Chat

Your backup are riding at their best!

To get this trophy, you have to build Terry and Clay's toughness to 100%. Once you complete "End of Chapter", moving forward, as soon as you start a story mission, you should always call Terry or Clay for backup to keep building their toughness. You should also use them for Gang Wars to keep building their toughness. This is very easy to do, but it's a very long objective to reach so patience is key here.

TBoGT: Four Play

You are a very good swinger.

To get this trophy, you have to hit a flag with a golf ball four times. At the Golden Pier Golf Course, start a match of Golf either by yourself or with a friend. To get this trophy you will need precise aiming. The more practice you have with golf, it will be easier to do this. But if you do not have practice, zoom on the flag pole and place the little white dot in the middle of the flag pole and charge the hit and be sure to stop the bar exactly on the black bar or a little under. Do this four times and you will hit the flag pole four times to get the trophy.

TBoGT: Catch the Bus

Love your smoking hot moves!

To get this trophy, you have to dance perfectly (or so) in both of Tony's Nightclubs, Maisonette 9 and Hercules. This can happen naturally as you aim towards 100% Completion for the miscellanous task. You don't have to dance perfectly, you can make a few mistakes, but the important thing is to not fail the dance by making too many mistakes. Completing the "Bus Stop" dance in both clubs will give you the trophy.

TBoGT: Adrenaline Junkie

You pulled your chute at the last possible moment from the highest freefall.

To get this trophy, you have to freefall for the longest possible time. You can get this during "This Ain't Checkers" or during Triathlons. When your not in a mission however, you can go to the base jumping icon near the helipad in Algonquin. Get the parachute, get in the chopper, fly to the highest point on the map, then jump out and freefall until you get close to the ground, then pull your parachute.

TBoGT: Past the Velvet Rope

You have a good flair for this.

To get this trophy, you have to score 80% or above in all missions. After completing the story for the first time, you can replay story missions by selecting Missions on your phone. Replay and go for the 100% Secondary Objectives if you haven't got one already. This trophy will be naturally unlocked as you keep fulfilling secondary objectives.

TBoGT: Gold Star

You are now officially an expert in TBoGT, go strut!

To get this trophy, you have to score 100% or above in all missions. After completing the story for the first time, you can replay story missions by selecting Missions on your phone. Replay and go for the 100% Secondary Objectives if you haven't got one already. This trophy will be naturally unlocked as you keep fulfilling secondary objectives.
